One of the fundamental pillars of TransLeader is fostering active engagement among young IT students, academics, and university leaders in both national and international events that bring together key stakeholders from the IT industry, government sectors, and higher education institutions (HEIs).

One of such type event took place in Bielsko-Biala (Poland). Namely, on 6-15 September 2024, the 6th edition of the BBDays4IT IT festival was hosted in Bielsko-Biała. The ceremonial opening in the city hall was graced by the President of Bielsko-Biała representatives of universities and heads of IT companies.

During the previous editions of BBDays4IT, over 100 different events took place. The festival had 46 partners and over 3,500 participants. And although it is an industry festival, the program is expanding every year, there are more and more proposals and program ideas, and an increasingly large group of partners.

This year, the festival had 19 partners. One of the main ones is the University of Bielsko-Biała. During the meeting in the city hall, the Rector of UBB, Jacek Nowakowski, recalled how the industrial character of the twin cities has changed over the last 100 years - initially focused on textiles, later on the machine and automotive industry, recently IT has been the leading one.

Mirosław Pachucki, Director of the Organizational and Legal Department of the Katowice Special Economic Zone, spoke about support for the IT industry within the Polish Investment Zone during the opening of BBDays4IT.

This year's festival lasted 10 days, its program included, among others, a UX design meetup, a gaming festival and IT industry regatta on Lake Żywieckie, conferences, and the cult finale of Hackathon, a 24-hour competition of programmers.

As every year, this edition also gathered crowds of IT technology enthusiasts from all over the region.

In addition to events organized throughout the city, the University of Bielsko-Biała organized the conference "Programmer - the Profession of the Future". It was a real technological feast for young programming enthusiasts, who had the opportunity to learn about IT from the inside.

It was a good chance for TransLeader to integrate diverse perspectives and expertise from IT sectors, since TransLeader focuses not only on enhancing the professional growth of IT students but also on strengthening the synergy between academia, industry, and public policy, contributing to the development of innovative leaders equipped to navigate the challenges of the digital age.

The conference featured PhD Tomasz Gancarczyk, who presented the activities of the Reset IT Club and talked about the TransLeader project results implemented at the Department of Computer Science and Automation at the University of Bielsko-Biała. Then Kamil Skuza introduced the participants to the world of game development. The most exciting was the panel discussion on the future of the IT industry. Experts shared their forecasts and advice for future participants in the IT industry. They also talked about the important role of leadership in a company. The next speech was given by Katarzyna Heller, who talked about how to create digital products that really work and bring value. Bartłomiej Żywczak introduced the world of Artificial Intelligence.

After the lectures, several dozen people took part in the 24-hour hackathon HackBB 2024, organized at the University of Bielsko-Biała.

Sharing the project results at BBDays4IT is crucial, as it creates a dynamic platform where IT businesses, academic institutions, and government entities converge to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and the transfer of critical leadership competencies to the next generation of IT professionals.
