The session brought together a diverse group of 47 participants from our partner institutions, including representatives from the University of Bielsko-Biala (Poland), the University of Library Studies and IT (Bulgaria), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine), and Rekord SI (Poland), to share innovative approaches in AI and IoT education.

Key Highlights from the Webinar:

  • The University of Bielsko-Biala presented the structured methodology used to collect best practices in AI and IoT education. This methodology combined data collection, case studies, and benchmarking against leading global institutions to ensure adaptable, evidence-based insights.

  • UBB shared findings from a comprehensive literature review highlighting effective teaching methods in AI and IoT, including project-based learning and industry collaboration, which enhance students' practical competencies.

  • Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv presented an analysis of current gaps in AI and IoT teaching in Ukrainian universities. Key challenges included limited hands-on experience and outdated curricula, with recommendations for aligning programs to international standards.

  • Best Practices for Knowledge Transfer (UBB): UBB highlighted strategies for cross-university knowledge sharing, including faculty exchanges, joint research, and digital resource platforms, aimed at fostering collaborative improvements in AI and IoT education.

  • Learning Requirements for IoT (ULSIT): The University of Library Studies and IT outlined foundational topics for IoT education, including sensor networks and data communication, stressing the importance of practical, hands-on projects.
  • Leadership Competencies in IT (Rekord SI): Rekord SI concluded with a focus on the leadership skills necessary for IT roles, including strategic decision-making, innovation, and team management, and suggested integrating soft skills development with technical training.
