The TransLeader project is proud to present the publication “Curricular Innovations for AI and IoT: A Systematic Review of Educational Challenges and Opportunities,” authored by Vasyl Martsenyuk, Piotr Szymura, Georgi Dimitrov, Mauro Figueiredo, and Oleksii Bychkov.
This systematic literature review (SLR), conducted as part of activity A2.2, explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and curriculum development can align with the evolving needs of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. Utilizing CiteSpace tools, the study identifies trends and challenges in integrating emerging technologies into academic curricula, emphasizing the need for universities to prepare students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for industrial advancements.
The findings advocate for strategic curriculum development in ICT education, addressing technological competence, human-centric solutions, and ethical responsibilities. The review highlights the importance of equipping graduates with the skills to navigate industrial transformations and support sustainable, socially responsible technological growth.
Aligned with the TransLeader project’s mission, this research supports innovative curriculum development that combines technical expertise with leadership training. By fostering collaboration between academia and industry, TransLeader contributes to shaping IT leaders prepared to drive competitiveness and digital transformation across the EU and Ukraine.
